Your Best Recipes of February 2012, YBR

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Welcome to February’s YRB roundup. Before you check out the delicious recipes this month, there is something I need to talk about. We all know that the only real requirement for YBR participation is to add the YBR button to your blogs. Adding the YBR button/badge to your blogs helps promote our event. I say our event because it belongs to all of us that come together every month and make YBR possible. Promoting or getting the word out about YBR benefits all of us that participate every month. The more people find out about it the more participants and the more introductions to new foodie friends.

Recently it has come to my attention that some participants add the YBR button/badge to their blog and remove it within a few days,weeks or month(s) of the roundup. Some have even removed the button/badge just days after I kindly asked and they agreed to add it to their blog. This isn’t only ignoring the rules of participation but also unfair to the rest of us. It isn’t fair to those of us who help promote our monthly event by adhering to the requirements and essentially help to promote those who choose to ignore the rules. When you participate in the signups and roundups the links to your blogs are left permanently on Spicie Foodie. I do not remove the links once someone has stopped participating.

Honestly, I hate that I even have to write about this. Aside from the great recipes and photographs, YBR has always been intended as a positive place to meet fellow food bloggers, form new friendships and catchup with those you may have lost touch with. So in order to keep it fair for the rest of us that adhere to the rules I will be removing participants who violate the button/badge rule. Those that have been asked to place the YBR button repeatedly and haven’t complied will be removed immediately. Those that have not previously been asked about it will receive an email asking to comply, if they fail to respond they too will be removed. Thank you to everyone else who follows the rules.
