Sunday Snapshots: Fire Breather

by Spicie Foodie on June 17, 2012

Sunday Snapshots, Fire Breather, Photography, Spicie Foodie

This Sunday I have some completely different snapshots. Every once in a while it’s good to take a break from food related posts and photography. I had fun shooting these photos and experimenting with shutter speeds. We stumbled upon the show as the sun was beginning to set, which was great because it created a very dramatic scene. I shot the photos with a low shutter speed to achieve the blurriness of the movements and fire. You’d be surprised how little editing I had to do in order to achieve what you see before you.  Afterall it is the weekend and I rather be outside playing than in front of my computer.  Enjoy and I hope you’re having a happy Sunday!

You really did have fun with these shots. The other day I took my camera on its first outing outside of photographing food and photographed my son photographing his girlfriend in urban settings for an assignment and they turned out surprisingly well. I must play with the shutter speeds too. Fire is a fantastic subject to photograph with different shutter speeds. Lovely job!

Hi Suzanne,

That’s great, I’m glad you’re playing with your camera as well. It’s fun and good to shoot other things than food. Thanks!
