Summer Treats Revisited and Other News

August 12, 2011 by Nancy Lopez-McHugh

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you’ve all had a great week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. As you know the move over has caused me to get behind on everything. Yep still trying to catch up. I’ve discovered that many of the images in the older post did not transfer over so that is a huge task I’ve yet to complete. Well not to mention everyday life’s ups and downs that keep us all busy. Anyways I’ll be back again in a couple of days with a brand new recipe. While you wait for the new recipe I want to leave you with some summer treats from my archives. But before we get to the recipes there are other news I want to share with you.

The first is I’d like to thank Correen of Food Lovers Website for the mention on her How-To Eat Crab Cakes article. Please stop by and read through Correen’s drooling article, lots of great info and recipes. Thanks Correen :)! The next is my sweet friend Alisha’s winning Tropical Fajitas recipe was recently posted as a guest post for being the winner of the recent cookbook giveaway. You can read Alisha’s post and recipe on her blog The Ardent Epicure or  here on Spicie Foodie.

The Magazine of Yoga
The last thing is my new friends from The Magazine of Yoga have featured my Watermelon Salsa with Feta and Fresh Horseradish. This is what they say” SpicieFoodie calls this recipe Euro-Mexican Fusion. We call it awesome.” It is super cool to be featured on such wonderful magazine. Plus Yoga is a passion of mine so that’s a double cool. The theme is Really Healthy: Watermelon Recipes. Please stop by to see the feature plus the 2 other great watermelon recipes they’ve featured, it’s watermelon heaven! Thank you Margo it’s been a pleasure.

Okay and now on to the Summer Treats Revisited, enjoy and have a gorgeous weekend!
