I buy all my fruits and vegetables from the green grocers in my neighborhood. One of the funny things in Prague is that nearly all of the mini-markets and green grocer shops are owned by Vietnamese immigrants. I am not sure why it has worked out that way. But I am sure glad to have those little shops in the neighborhood. Besides selling both local and exotic fruits and vegetables, they are the best places to find Asian and even authentic Mexican products. It is fun exploring and finding new things to try every so often.
I love that many of the vegetables still have remnants of the earth they were picked from. Can’t get any fresher than that! On my last trip I picked up these vibrant baby bok choy. They don’t have it often but when they do I immediately grab a bunch. My favorite way to eat it is simply stir fried with a little garlic and soy sauce. On a few occasions I’ve also added it to stir fried noodles. I’m no bok choy expert so I always keep it simple.
What about you guys, do you like bok choy? If you have a favorite recipe leave it in the comments and I’ll add it below. If you need some bok choy recipe ideas check out the ones I found below.
