Sunday Snapshots: Steel Blue

April 7, 2013 by Nancy Lopez-McHugh 32 Comments

Sunday Snapshots: Steel Blue on Spicie Foodie | #foodphotography #tartmolds #photography

This weekend I did some baking and I also practiced my photography while I waiting for one of the ingredients to cool down.

These little tartlet molds made the perfect model for my practice session.

How about you did you get any photography practice time this weekend?

Very lovely photographs. I spent some time practicing photography this week to, but mainly playing around with the settings of my camera in different lights to see what worked and what didn’t. Mostly, I learned I just don’t have an eye for photography! :)

    Ah ha, coconut treats?
No time to practise this weekend but I am so wanting to try some macro photography. My son has shown me how to turn my lens around and connect it with an adaptor to create a macro lens. No extra cost and it works.

Thank you MJ! I have to keep things interesting so I try to shoot different objects. This helps motivate me to practice more often. I did and I hope you did too, have a great week ahead.

Amazing how the second picture looks “good”, but the addition of the yellow ribbon in the first picture makes it look stunning! It makes me pause, relax, and go “ahhhhhhhh”.

Very nice shot! How do you make overall ambiance similar to the object colour? I downloaded lightroom 4 trial version on the weekend. Haven’t played any photos with it yet. I hope it’s as good as what other people say. :D
