What is Red Hot Motor Oil and What Foods Can You Added To

May 19, 2014 by Nancy Lopez-McHugh

Today we are talking with Cindy, an entrepreneur and fellow chile lover. She will be telling us all about her flavourful chile oil and how we can help support her small business.

1. Can you tell us about you and how you got into the chili oil business?

Reggie and I met twelve years ago and have been married for eleven. Reggie is a graphic artist/animator/father and my background is motherhood, law, and marketing. With parenthood being our favorite part. We started making Red Hot Motor Oil together years ago. We worked hard on perfecting the flavor for our kids. When our family, friends, friends of friends and even restaurants began telling us to get this out to the world… we jumped at it!

We are so passionate and have total faith in our Red Hot Motor Oil. We so love the flavor, and how it enhances every dish, that we can’t wait to be able to share our love for it with everyone! We launched the Kickstarter to raise the funds needed to get the RHMO manufactured and out to the world!

2. What exactly is Red Hot Motor Oil?

Our process starts with fresh chilis, the chilis are roasted to perfection and the mixture is a secret blend of spices. The final product is a spicy, red-orange BEAUTY!

Red Hot Motor Oil can be stirred, or unstirred. The amount of “sludge,” as we call it, thai is stirred directly affects how spicy it will be.

3. Can you describe the taste to us and some ways that your chile oil can be used?

Our chili oil’s unique taste comes from a dried blend of fresh chiles and other very secret, but completely natural spices. We have to say though, that the chiles we use are the front runner to the flavor party. Their spicy, somewhat nutty taste really adds a burst of flavor that compliments a wide variety of dishes. Mix that in with our spices and oil, and you’ve got yourself one of the most addictive and delicious flavors out there! It’s genuinely so tasty that our family can’t help but lick it off the spoon after we drizzle it over our meals. Use it over rice, eggs, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken, hamburgers, as a salad dressing, in soups, on pasta, on tacos and burritos, or on ANY dish to enhance the flavor.

4. What do you hope to do with the Kickstarter funding?

Every cent we raise will go toward getting Red Hot Motor Oil out there into the public. Some of the first things we’ll be doing if we get funded are:

Putting together all Kickstarter backer rewards and mailing them out as soon as possible. Hopefully this wouldn’t take more than a month after the backing funds get processed.

Hiring our food technician to finalize our recipe for commercial use.
Getting our first run of chili oil manufactured.

After that we have a few grocery outlets and restaurants we plan on doing business with in the hopes that they’ll be willing to place Red Hot Motor Oil on their shelves/tables!

5. So where can people see your product or get in touch with you?

They can visit our Kickstart page here or our Facebook page here.

Thank you Cindy and best of luck and continued success to you. I’m sure we are all hoping to see your product on our grocery shelves very soon. Let’s help this family product get out there!
