Chocolate Dipped Jalapeños and 16 More Desserts To Make Your Valentine This Year

February 11, 2015 by Nancy Lopez-McHugh 12 Comments

There are three more days until Valentine’s Day. Today I’d like to share some amazing dessert ideas to your your sweetheart on Sunday. Well, these are all so fantastic that you can prepare them year-round on special occasions…or just because. Enjoy!

Chocolate Dipped Jalapenos by @SpicieFoodie

Chocolate Dipped Jalapeños: First up are my chocolate dipped jalapeños — yes, chilies dipped in chocolate. The combination is stellar and I highly suggest you give it a taste if you love both chocolate and jalapeños as much as I do.

Spicy Date and Chocolate Truffles (Vegan and Sugar-Free): A perfect treat for those on a gluten-free, sugar-free diet. They taste really good and a great treat to have on hand.

Grilled Pineapple: Not in a chocolate mood? Try these insanely delicious grilled pineapple slices.

French Crepes: Make them for dessert or to fill with savoury ingredients. You can also try the buckwheat version or the oat-hemp version.

Banana Cream Pie with a Chocolate Crust: Need I say more!

Chocolate Cake with Mexican Chocolate: Super easy, always delicious and perfect for two.

Chocolate Fondant Cake (aka Molten Chocolate Lava Cake): I crave them just typing out their name. They will surely impress your Valentine, but I’ll tell you a secret, they’re soooo easy to prepare. Promise.

Great ideas, I especially like the grilled pineapple slides among all these sweet treats! Sometimes the easy things beat everything else.

Who needs an entree’ when you could eat of few of these instead. I see a meal starting off with the crepes and grilled pineapple, followed by the chocolate dipped jalapeno and a cooling of the palate with the lavender parfait. YUM!!! Thanks for including my Mixed Berry Pudding!

What a tasty and tempting assortment! I’m with you on the molten lava cake ~ so satisfying. I love the photo of the jalapenos, they look like they are sweating from the heat! Happy Valentine’s Day! :)

Hi Judy! Yes, it’s so hot and humid here that when we have cold food out it begins to “sweat”. :) Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day to you too!
